As Soon As Possible...

  • Send the invitations with gift list details and an advice on where best to get the gifts to avoid unnecessary window-shopping.
  • Buy all your accessories and make sure that they do match with your wedding theme.
  • Check the groom and the best man and have their wedding cloths ready.
  • Shop for thank-you presents for all your attendant and committee members.

One Month Before...

  • Book your hairdresser and make-up appointments for the day before the wedding and on the wedding day.
  • Choose the hymns and music that you want in your wedding and if possible get a live band to play the songs.
  • Purchase the rings that you loved as you were doing your research.
  • Book the services of a décor service provider who will be in charge of decorating the venue. Work with your theme in these as well.

Two Weeks Before...

  • Try on your full wedding outfit as well as the shoes, try walking in your shoes and if you feel the slightest discomfort, look for other shoes. The dress can also be altered at this stage so that what you wear is what you want and makes you comfortable. You might also have added weight since your last fitting session.

One Week Before...

The Day Before...

  • Have a manicure, pedicure and make your hair.
  • Though it might be hard to relax, try to. If you can, go for a massage to ease out all the tension.

On the Day...

  • Wake up early and give yourself ample time to get ready.
  • Have the bouquets and buttonholes delivered from the florist.
  • Apply your perform an hour before so that it dries and does not leave stains on your wedding dress.
